Inside the ride, when Farlow arrived at the imitation fireplace he saw small flames, real ones, flickering at roughly the height of his passing carriage. The sign near the entrance was clear: "No Smoking". Like other patrons, Farlow thought the small fire he spotted on his Ghost Train ride was all part of the show. "We were all pretty tired but it was magic," their mother, Jenny Godson, says.
